Aston Villa midfielder Youri Tielemans has spoken about his decision to join the club. After leaving Leicester City and being linked with a move to a bigger club.

    The Belgium international’s contract with the Foxes expires in 2023. During which time he has been linked with top teams in England and across Europe in a bid to play in Europe. Including the Champions League and Europa League UFABET  

    However, he decided to move to the “Villagers” and became a key player in Unai Emery’s midfield. Helping the team to a top-four finish and play in the Champions League this season. Playing in all 13 games in all competitions, scoring 1 goal and providing 4 assists.

    During an interview with Het Belang van Limburg. Tielemans spoke about the initial criticism of his move to Villa but did not mention a move to a bigger club.

    “I heard many times why I didn’t go to a big club in the first place, but I did very well here. The coach wanted to play in the Champions League and we got there faster than we thought.” Tielemans said.

    “Aston Villa is still growing, but when you have the opportunity to improve. You shouldn’t say no too soon. I didn’t think about it at the time.”
